Megalodon, or Megs for short, is our prized blue-eyed beauty! She’s a stunning blue tortie polydactyl girl with the most incredible sky-blue eyes. For a long time, we weren’t sure if we wanted to dive into the world of blue-eyed Maine Coons, but when we found Megs, we knew she was the one.

My oldest daughter, oldest granddaughter, and I flew all the way to Paris, France to meet Megs and her breeder in person. It turned into an unforgettable weekend full of sightseeing, laughter, and plenty of photos. Bringing Megs home was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.

After our time in Paris, I boarded a direct flight from Paris to Raleigh with Megs by my side. I’ll admit, I was nervous for her during the trip because she wasn’t breathing well when we first got her due to a stuffy nose. All I could do was pray she’d be okay during the long flight and that our vet could see her as soon as we got home. Thankfully, we made it through customs quickly and arrived safely back in North Carolina.

🧡 Personality:

Megs is such a love bug! She’s very vocal when left alone and absolutely hates being by herself. She loves being around her people and thrives on attention and affection.

Now that she’s feeling better, she spends her days with her cat friends and gets along wonderfully with everyone. Her sinus infection isn’t contagious, so she enjoys plenty of social time with the other girls. Some of our females can be a little grumpy at times, but not Megs! She’s one of the first to greet you and will quickly make herself at home in your lap if you sit down.

The only time she hesitates is when she thinks you might be giving her medicine, which she’s had more than her fair share of. Outside of that, Megs is a happy, affectionate girl who’s growing into a beautiful, big sweetheart with a personality just as stunning as her blue eyes. The only thing she dislikes more than medicine is bath time!
